Rongali Bihu is not just a festival; it is a celebration of our heritage, the rhythm of the Dhol and Pepa, and the spirit of renewal. This year, we gather once again to strengthen our community bonds, enjoy traditional performances, and share the flavors of home. As the fragrance of the Kopou Phool heralds the arrival of spring, the Assamese Community of Georgia (ACOG) warmly invites you and your family to celebrate Rongali Bihu on Saturday, April 11, 2026.
Get Involved
  • Perform: Sign up for the cultural program.
  • Volunteer: Help us with decorations and hospitality.
  • Attend: Bring your family and friends to experience the warmth of Assamese hospitality.
We are looking for participants in the following categories:
  1. Husori & Group Bihu Dance: Let’s bring the energy of the Dhool, Taal, Pepa, Gagana & Bihu dance to Georgia!
  2. Modern Group Dance: High-energy choreography to contemporary Assamese or fusion tracks. Grab your friends and hit the stage!
  3. Vocal Performances: Folk songs, Borgeet, or contemporary Assamese hits.
  4. Instrumental: Showcase your skills on the Dhol, Taal, Gogona, or any other musical instruments. Kids’ Corner: Poetry recitation, storytelling, or dance performances by our youngest members.
  5. Skits/Drama: Short cultural segments that celebrate our roots.

Let’s welcome the New Year with open hearts and the vibrant energy of Bihu traditions. We look forward to seeing the community dressed in their finest Muga and Paat as we usher in the New Year together.
